Chef Matt Bolus and the team will bring high-end, Southern brunch served in a dim sum style to The 404 Kitchen. The authentic dim sum service will feature small portions wheeled around the dining room on carts, allowing guests to feast on different dishes and flavors. Bolus has taken the guesswork, and the work, out of brunch.
Moments after guests are seated they will be presented with the drinks cart to get their weekend brunch started. The drinks cart will feature Gertie’s Bar classics like the Brown Butter Old Fashioned and the 404 Vesper, as well as essential brunch cocktails like mimosas. A Bloody Mary cart will let guests customize their drinks with a choice of tomato, yellow tomato or green tomato tomatillo base – and finish with all the accoutrements you desire to mix a perfect Bloody.
Food carts will feature brunch classics like Banana Bread French Toast and Chicken and Waffles, but much like the dinner menu will be seasonal and fresh and will change out often. For the opening menu guests are also likely to find proper country ham with red eye gravy, BBQ “hamwich” sandwich smoked on a big green egg, and bread service with zucchini bread, monkey bread, 404 cornbread and biscuits with whiskey jam.
According to Chef Bolus, “This is how I like to eat. I like to come into a restaurant and just have food sent to me without having to look at a menu or think about what I’m getting. I love to try tons of different things, and that’s our goal here. A table of 4 should be able to try 6 – 8 dishes, which excites me!”
